Neetu Chandra Gives A Look Test For Mindy Kaling's Biopic

They say some roles challenge you while others are designed for you. One such role which is almost designed for the talented actor Neetu Chandra is of writer, director, and producer Mindy Kaling, whose biopic is underway for a well known digital giant. Looking strikingly similar, Chandra has been screen-tested for the role that requires her to fit into the character of this powerhouse performer.  Since Neetu has done some Big films in Tamil cinema with fabulous Actors like Madhwan, Vishal, Jayam Ravi and Surya in Singham 3 she is well versed with Tamil language. She has a huge Tamil fan following too. The moment she was asked to audition, she was all excited as she appreciates and loves the music, culture, traditions and the language of Tamil Nadu. She got the best actress award in Malaysia for her Tamil film " Adhi-Bhagwan" too.

"Mindy is an inspiration, she has chosen a path that women find tough and aced it. It is my honour and pleasure to test for her role. I understand Tamil culture and have always wanted to play a character like this, says Chandra.

Of Tamilian origin, Mindy has carved a niche for herself in the television industry with her immensely popular show The Office, which brought her a storm of success from the world over. Auditioning for the lead role in the biopic, Neetu Chandra's persona fit the role perfectly with her looks, and her ability to adapt herself into an English with Tamil accent.

Currently, Chandra has just wrapped up the shoot for The Worst Day, a comedy film which marks her debut in Hollywood. She is also juggling her time to shoot for a Korean youth action TV series "Narae". Both these projects are scheduled to release later this year. Her dedication to the craft has given her meaty roles across the world breaking language barriers and she continues to raise the bar in every project she undertakes.
