Neil Nitin Mukesh Gets Nostalgic As He Shoots For Bypass Road On Same Location As "Johnny Gaddaar" After 12 Years

Shooting for his brother Naman’s directorial debut, Bypass Road, took a nostalgic turn for Neil Nitin Mukesh recently. For a sequence that was shot last week, the upcoming thriller took him back to a Juhu bungalow where the actor had shot for his acting debut, the Sriram Raghavan-directed 2007 neo-noir thriller, Johnny Gaddaar.Neil Nitin Mukesh states, “It was walking down memory lane for me during the shooting of Bypass Road. I had shot in Ashish Bungalow for my debut film Johnny Gaddar but since it was almost 12 years ago, I didn’t recognise the bungalow from the pictures, but I was totally surprised when I found out and it brought back so many nostalgic memories. Naman was a child back then and used to visit me on the set and now he was in charge of the set. I am sure Sriram will be thrilled to hear about this since he is someone both Naman and I look upto as an inspiration. I also wielded the camera for a scene in the sequence. I have operated the camera before, but not for Naman’s film so that was a welcome change. It was a three-camera setup so while the cinematographer and his assistant had taken over two of them, and the action director was manging another part of the sequence, I took over the third camera.”Speaking about the location Naman Nitin Mukesh states, “It’s an action sequence involving a chase and we had a couple of locations in mind, when the production team brought pictures of this Juhu property. Infact both the scenes in Johnny Gaddar and Bypass Road are the pre-interval scenes at the very same location.” NNM Films and Madan Paliwal of MIRAJ will jointly produce the thriller drama which is being directed by Naman Nitin Mukesh and written by Neil Nitin Mukesh and features an ensemble casting. While Neil NitinMukesh and Adah Sharma will pair up as the main protagonists in the film, Gul Panag will essay the antagonist. Other cast members include Sudhanshu Pandey, Shama Sikander and Rajit Kapur. The Saaho actor will be playing the lead protagonist in the thriller and will be essaying the role of a paraplegic in the film for the very first time.
