Dear Actors!
Nowadays nothing is achieved by sending photos. Nothing. Stop spending money on those photos. No one sees sixteen photos on WhatsApp. On the contrary, people get irritated. Remembered from WhatsApp. The concept of cold call was started in the West. That means calling without informing. Gone are the times when we used to ask ‘Hello, who is calling?’ Now the number can be seen on the screen. The number is saved so I know who is calling. If not, then it is a cold call which is considered indecent. You must understand that apart from you, other people also give cold calls. Then it is your misfortune that people are fed up with strange numbers from banks, insurance, property agents, personal loans, credit cards, restaurants, dhabas, and clubs. This applies to messages also. So what to do now? How to struggle. First of all, you are not struggling alone. All those people whom you consider successful are also struggling for something or the other. The struggle to remain successful is no less than the struggle to succeed. Remember this thing. Believe this. A short message is enough. ‘Can I talk?’ ‘Can I send a photo?’ If the answer is not received then it is fine. No one opens the attachments of your CV. Forget about the photo that you sent to the casting director. Give an audition best prepared. If it is good then it will reach the director. Hey, we also ask for new faces and new talent. We have no enmity with you. If the audition is good then the casting director comes with his chest wide open. Yes, they also have some favorites. But everyone has their favorites. Don't I have two or three favorites? I go to every movie. If they call me, I go, it’s man's nature brother.

Its ROLE not ROLL

So coming back to what to do. How to get the role? Remembered from Roll, the spelling of Roll is ROLE, it's not ROLL No. ROLL is made of chicken and also veg. Let's just say that 40 percent of people write this wrong. The same percentage of people put a dot in the letter 'K' of Mubarak. It is ridiculous. If yes then what to do? If the casting director is out of reach then how will the director will be in your reach? That's the right problem. So what do you do? Some people try to reach the office without being invited. Sometimes they are stopped at the gate of the building and sometimes at the office reception. It feels bad, right? It should also be applied. Those who are successful have appointments scheduled throughout the day and for weeks and weeks. It would not have been possible. Understand that. I am also coming to the point of what to do.
Work on your skills

First of all, no director is casting throughout the year. When he is doing it, he is thinking about the actors, otherwise even if you meet them while getting in and out of the car, you will not be remembered. Don't waste time on that. Casting is never done by the meeting. There are many actor friends with whom I keep meeting and respect their work but are unable to work together. They also regret it. But it is like this. Some methods will have to be made to know where the casting is going to start. We will know sometime from the assistant directors. Sometimes from supporting producers. Everyone will have different methods. Take out those sources.

Fight your FOMO

The second important thing is to spend seventy percent of your struggle time on your skills. Whatever your method is: Reading, watching, theatre, meditation, or whatever or all. Note this thing, then I am typing with hard work. I have been doing this work for thirty-three years. ‘Take out seventy percent of your struggle time and invest it in your skills.’ So that whenever you get a chance to show your skills, it is your chance. Just don't ask them if I can show my skills, you will get killed. Those who struggle more also get more or less equal opportunities to showcase their skills. I am telling you a good mantra, it is in English and I will also translate it. FIGHT FOMO. Fight the Fear of Missing Out. Fight the fear that I may be missing something. In the end, selling is a skill, so spend more time on the skill. Skill has its fragrance. It goes very far on its own. If four people see, they can tell sixty-four places. Man, I saw an audition, it was amazing. Think about it. Let me explain in the language of mathematics. Five auditions in a month of 5/10 standard. Did two auditions in two months but it was 9/10. Who will get the benefit more?

Trust you skills

Do not stand outside offices and buildings. Don't see if the car is parked or gone. You deserve more respect than this. You are putting your life at stake by trusting your skills. Sharpen your skills, the director will come home. Will have to come. They need you too, brother.
I will write more. That's all today. I am tired, friend. Typed seventeen pages of script in a day today. Going to pat myself on the back. Still don't know whether it is good or not. When I finish it, I will send it to my friends. This one is not ending.
