Shoaib Akhtar had given a marriage proposal to Sonali Bendre

Actress Sonali Bendre is a beautiful actress and had her charm in her era, where not only the fans were impressed by her beauty, but she also became the favorite of big cricketers. Recently, when Sonali Bendre was asked about this in an interview if she liked former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib. Recalling an old comment by Akhtar who had said that he would "kidnap" her if she did not accept his marriage proposal, Sonali Bendre, during the promotions of her new show 'The Broken News' Season 2, told when she was asked about Akhtar's comment, she told that the Pakistani cricketer had confessed to having a crush on her and was willing to marry her.

Sonali had no idea about his crush

Sonali said, “Yes, I don't know how true it is, fake news existed even then!” When the host pointed out that Akhtar had made the "kidnapping" comment jokingly, she said, "I don't know if he said that..." When told that the cricketer was her fan, she said, “Thank God for that, my career is because of that!”

Shoaib Akhtar denied the claims

Although this claim has been made for years, in 2019, Shoaib Akhtar clarified that he never said anything related to Sonali Bendre. In a video posted on his YouTube page, Akhtar said that "He wants to stop this rumor once and for all”. The cricketer said that "there were claims that he kept her photograph in his wallet, that he wanted to marry her, and also that he had an affair with her" – adding he continued "These are all lies. I never dated Sonali Bendre. I have never met her! I've never been a fan of hers and she's a really beautiful woman. That's when she fought her cancer. I started becoming a fan because of how courageous she was, but my brother, I have nothing to do with her.”
