Nfai To Host European Union Film Festival 2019

European cinema is rich in narrative and stylistic experimentation, and it has always attracted the film lovers. National Film Archive of India is all set to host European Union Film Festival 2019 (EUFF), ‘Europe in Your City’ from Friday, 5th July to Thursday, 11th July. The National Film Archive of India & European Union Delegation to India present this amazing opportunity to catch the modern European films on the big screen, and thus provide a window to the culture of European countries. This is in pursuance of the objectives of NFAI to showcase a variety of films from different parts of the world.Opening with the film LITTLE ENGLAND (2013) from Greece, the seven days festival will feature22 films from belonging to member countries of the European Union, which also consist films from some less-known countries like Latvia, Lithuania, Cyprus, Malta and Bulgaria.

The eclectic selection of films, from a variety of genres such as drama, romance and comedy is sure to be a treat to film lovers looking to explore the treasures of European cinema.The opening ceremony will take place on 5th July, 5.15 PM at NFAI, main auditorium at Law College Road. The festival will conclude with the film from Ireland BLACK’47 (2018) on 11^th July.Overcoming the barriers of language with fresh and engaging storiesfilm festivals are powerful tools for communicating ideas and networks across the world. This is an amazing chance for film enthusiasts and studentsto catch acclaimed and internationally appreciated films.  The festival is open to all and seating will be on first come first serve basis.
