And as the narrative and format changes - moving beyond cinema into episodic content for example, how does screenwriting come of age? But what exactly is it that these platforms look for when they are programming content for their audiences. Today, more and more filmmakers are writing for a series format rather than a film script and are looking at releasing their film on OTT platforms instead of a theatrical release. This session tries to analyse the magnitude of the disruption caused by the growth of numerous VoD platforms. Is this going to be the way forward for indie films? Onir is an Indian film and TV director, editor, screenwriter and producer. He is best known for his film 'My Brother...Nikhil', one of the first mainstream Hindi films to deal with AIDS and same-sex relationships. He won the National Film award for Best Film (Hindi) for the anthology 'I AM' in 2011. He has won 13 film awards. Arjun Mathur is a British-born Indian actor who was first discovered by Mira Nair and Farhan Akhtar through their respective short films for the 'Aids Jaago' project, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, 2007. He was last seen in Zoya Akhtar's Amazon original series, 'Made In Heaven', which has proven to be Arjun's breakthrough project. Sridhar Rangayan is filmmaker, writer, activist and festival director.
