PADMAAVAT ROW CONTINUES AS KARNI SENA TO 'GHERAO' CBFC OFFICE TODAY!

A day before yesterday, Supreme Court cleared the pan-India release of controversial film Padmaavat but it seems Madhya Pradesh government is still confused about SC decision. In a statement given to media Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, "We have told the state advocate general to study the Supreme Court order. After this, we will see if we have to say something in the honourable apex court. We have not taken any decision so far."

On Thursday, the apex court stayed the orders and notifications issued by the Rajasthan and Gujarat governments prohibiting the screening of the controversial movie, clearing the screening of the film across India.

There are no official orders to stop the release of the film issued by the Madhya Pradesh government. However, the Chief Minister earlier indicated that Padmaavat will not be allowed to release in Madhya Pradesh by saying, "Jo kaha tha, wo hoga".

After a series of controversies  Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus, Padmaavat finally got clearance from CBFC and Supreme Court as well. The film starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor all set for a solo release on 25 January. As Akshay Kumar postponed the release of his upcoming R Balki's directorial to February 9.
