NO 'SHIDDAT' FOR VARUN DHAWAN AND ALIA BHATT

The on-screen hit couple Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan said that they have 'no idea' about Karan Johar's forthcoming project Shiddat. If the earlier reports are to be believed then Karan Johar was all set to cast both the actors together once again in his next project after the box office success of Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

Udta Punjab actress Alia had answered the question about Shiddat by saying, “Who told you that? I don’t know about such movie,” She told the media at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2017 which was held in Mumbai on Friday.

Similarly, Varun also denied the reports saying they have no idea of any such film, "Which movie? Who told you that? We don't know any such movie exists."

Post Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan has been trying to make another big-budget project tentatively named Shiddat.  Reportedly,  he has apparently brought Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi onboard for the film. It is being said that Varun and Aditya will be seen playing brothers with a tense relationship. Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi will be portraying the characters of their parents. The film is set in India-Pakistan partition period. The film is written by Gulab Gullati and Abhishek Varman.

However, soon after such reports were published, Karan tweeted about the film and its cast

On the work front, both the actors are busy on their different projects. Varun is busy wrapping Shoojit Sircar's October and Yash Raj Banner's Sui Dhaaga which also star Anushka Sharma. Alia has also enough films in her kitty for next year as she is currently busy in shooting for Meghna Gulzar's Raazi along with Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh.
