NOT HONEY TREHAN BUT VISHAL BHARDWAJ TO DIRECT DEEPIKA PADUKONE AND IRRFAN KHAN IN HIS NEXT FILM

As we earlier reported that the 2015 hit film Piku's duo Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan are all set to pair up again for Vishal Bhardwaj's upcoming film, which was scheduled to be directed by Honey Trehan but according to the latest development, director Honey Trehan is replaced by Vishal Bhardwaj due to some creative differences.

The news is confirmed by the Vishal’s statement, "Due to different artistic visions of the film, Honey (Trehan) and I jointly came to the decision that it would be best if I took over as director and saw it through to the end."

This film was a directorial debut for Honey Trehan, who also told media, "Owing to our differences in creative understanding, we have mutually and amicably decided that it would be best for our film if Vishal sir took over as director."

The producer of the film Prerna Arora also agreed with the director’s decision by saying, “she respects the decision, which is only meant for the betterment of the film.”

The untitled Irrfan-Deepika starrer will be produced by KriArj Entertainment and Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures. The film is based on the story of Hussain Zaidi's ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’, where Padukone will be essaying the role of female don known as Sapna Didi. The project is scheduled to go on floors in February end.
