Now All is well with Veteran Actor Manoj Kumar

These days spreading rumours about celebrities and legends has become a way of life. News about them spreads like wild fire even if there is not an iota of truth in their stories. It has happened several times in the past and it happened to Manoj Kumar on August 3.

He was rushed to the Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and the reason was kept a secret. I with my colleague Rish Kamal had planned to meet him that same morning , but the security told us that “Sahab” had gone out. We waited for twenty minutes and left when there was no communication of any kind. I kept calling him and even sent a message to him , but there was no response.

On the morning of August 7 I received a call from Mr. Bharat while my phone was in silent mode. I then called him and he sounded very cheerful when he took the name he had given me , “Allah Parmeshwar ,Jesus” and I immediately asked him where he was and he said , “Ambani Hospital”. Before I could feel anxious or worried , he said , “ Nothing seriously wrong , Ali , just had some respiratory problems and was advised hospitalisation. I will be discharged tomorrow or as soon as my doctor comes back from Indore” I asked him if I could visit him in hospital and he was cheerful again when he said , “a hospital is not the most hospitable place , why don’t you come home on Wednesday?” He  was out of the hospital on August 8. This was not the first time rumours about his falling seriously sick was making the rounds.
