The Maharashtra government has provided additional security to superstar Shahrukh Khan of the recent hit films 'Pathan' and 'Jawaan'. This special facility has been given to Khan because he was receiving death threats. The order to increase Khan's security from the State Home Ministry has been received by the Police Administration and Anti-Terrorist Department from high officials attached to the Home Ministry in recent times (since his films 'Pathan' and 'Jawaan' became hits). Shahrukh has been put under surveillance due to the threats he received. He has this security on a personal security payment basis. Before this, only two policemen were available to Shahrukh at all times for security. The new security arrangement will be maintained till the next decision of the Review Committee. For now, 11 senior police officers will be there 24 hours for their security.

Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan: Y+ Security

In the security circle of the Y+ category, 6 senior police officers will provide round-the-clock security to them, which includes commandos, brave men with AK-47 guns, and 5 police personnel who are always ready at their house, who are deployed on three-shift duty. Before this, only two policemen used to accompany Shahrukh. His security has been updated to Y+. Before Shahrukh in Y+ Scott, the administration had given this facility only to Salman Khan. Salman Khan was given this security after the Vishnoi gang threatened to kill him. Under Y+, 6 PSOs are assigned to accompany the celebrity 24×7 in three shifts, and 5 armed guards are assigned to his/her residence.

Amitabh Bachchan takes less security

Amitabh Bachchan, the ‘Maha Nayak’ of the century, never needed much security. While he is a more popular hero. He never gets involved in controversial things. Big B has the protection of 'X' Scott. Stars with X security get only 3 PSO personnel for 24 hours in three shifts. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Anupam Kher have got X category security arrangement.

Shahrukh Khan's Self-Financed Protection

According to the Maharashtra Government's Police Protection Policy 2017, those celebrities whose life is considered to be in danger are provided police protection at their own expense. The largest security provider is Scott Z+, which includes bulletproof cars, 24 Personal Security Officers (PSOS) in three shifts for 24×7 and 10 armed guards at home, 4 for day surveillance and 1 for night surveillance, 1 Police Inspector/Sub Inspector, 6 Train Drivers and 6 Screens are deployed 24×7. Till now no film star celebrity has needed to be given this category of security. Till the conclusion of the review committee comes, Shahrukh Khan will continue to get this security at his own expense.
