Omung Kumar To Celebrate His Silver Wedding Anniversary In Goa

National award-winning filmmaker Omung Kumar has decided to put everything else on the backburner as he gears up to celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife Vanita Kumar. The couple will be heading to Goa to ring in the celebrations for the special day which is on December 3rd, 2018.

Omung recalls some of the incidents from the day of his marriage 25 years ago where he along with his wife Vanita did all the necessary arrangements themselves without any help. When technology had not yet seen a boom with no cell phones at the time, both, Omung and Vanita perfectly coordinated and managed all the guests at the venue, The Resort in Madh, Mumbai. The venue did not have a dedicated seat for the bride and groom with only the dance floor where the guests met and greeted the wedding couple.

One also hears that during his marriage, the filmmaker broke the age-old superstitious belief of the groom sitting alone on the horse and sat on the horse with his wife Vanita.

Omung and Vanita who had been in love since their college days tied the knot 25 years ago in a close-knit family ceremony accompanied by friends and family. Omung recently designed and auctioned the 2019 calendar for an animal welfare organization AMTM (Animal Matters To Me) to gather funds towards animal welfare.
