Omung Kumar's Biopic PM Narendra Modi To Release On May 24th

With the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in the country, director Omung Kumar's next film PM Narendra Modi faced quite some resistance on its release date. Today, the makers have announced that the film will be in theatres on 24th May 2019. The director, who has previously received acclaim for his iconic films Mary Kom and Sarabjit, has remained confident about PM Narendra Modi and knew that it would only be a while before it reaches audiences.

Omung Kumar, director of the film, says, "For us, the film PM Narendra Modi is a piece of art, we have put a lot of hard work into making the story come alive and we are grateful that the film will finally be available to audiences. The team is elated that their work will see the light of day and we hope everyone enjoys it."

The biopic will bring to the fore the journey of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Damodar Modi from his humble beginnings to his years as Chief Minister and onto his landmark win in the 2014 election. Directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sandip Ssingh, Anand Pandit and Suresh Oberoi, this much-awaited biopic showcases an ensemble cast led by Vivekanand Oberoi in the titular role.
