Guru Purnima is a religious Hindu festival to pay respect to all spiritual and educational gurus. This year this festival will be celebrated on 3rd July. The word Guru is derived from Sanskrit, which means remover of darkness. The day is celebrated every year on the full moon day of the month of Ashadha, dedicated to the gurus and teachers who play an important role in a person's life.
