August is the beginning of the festival period in India and it starts with Rakshabandhan, which is a cherished festival celebrating the beautiful relationship between siblings, particularly brothers and sisters. Siblings share a unique bond, they are the ones who can do anything for you, but will not accept if you use their things without their approval. And contrary to the traditions, Rakshabandhan today is not just about a brother and a sister, but any sibling pair, be it two sisters, two brothers, or a brother and sister.  Rakshabandhan is all about tying Rakhi on the wrist of your sibling's hand, which signifies that they will always be there for each other through thick and thin. On the occasion of this day, Zee TV actors like Rohit Suchanti from Bhagya Lakshmi, Manit Joura from Kundali Bhagya, Aditi Sharma from Rabb Se Hai Dua, Krishna Kaul from Kumkum Bhagya, Ashi Singh from Meet, Arjun Bijlani from Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya ShivShakti, Shrenu Parikh from Maitree and Sambhabna Mohanty from Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mlohan expressed how much their siblings mean to them, and also how they are planning to celebrate the festival this year.

Rohit Suchanti a.ka. Rishi from Zee TV_s Bhagya LakshmiRohit Suchanti who essays the role of Rishi in Zee TV’s Bhagya Lakshmi said, “Rakshabandhan is a special occasion that celebrates the bond of love and protection between siblings. Despite living in different countries, my sister never fails to send me a Rakhi. I have been lucky to have someone like her in my life who is like a second mother to me. She has always been so caring and protective that whenever I get into trouble with my parents, she is there to help me out. To this day, she remains my biggest support system, and I don't know what would I do without her. I wish everyone a happy Rakshabandhan, and hope that you get to celebrate it with your siblings!”

Manit Joura a.k.a Rishabh from Zee TV_s Kundali Bhagya with his Sister

Manit Joura who plays the role of Rishabh in Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya said, "Rakshabandhan is all about siblings, and the loving bond they share. I believe that sisters should be celebrated not just one day, but every day.  The most remarkable and cherished aspect of my relationship with my sister is our togetherness during these special moments. Residing in different cities, our reunions are valuable presents for us. I don't confine my expressions of affection to a single day; I consistently strive to make my sister feel exceptional. While I won't be able to journey to Delhi this Rakshabandhan due to my commitment to Kundali Bhagya's shoot, my sister might be visiting Mumbai this year. We're planning to indulge in some shopping, and I intend to gift her whatever she desires. Personally, I take great pleasure in pampering her in every conceivable manner. I consider myself truly fortunate to have such an adorable sister in my life. On the occasion of Rakhi, my warmest wishes extend to everyone for a joyful Rakshabandhan."

Aditi Sharma who essays the role of Dua in Zee TV’s Rabb Se Hai Dua said, “Rakshabandhan is one of my favorite festivals because it always falls around my birthday, so it's like a double celebration for us. Since I moved to Mumbai, it's been a little tough to celebrate Rakshabandhan with him, but we try to meet up every year and celebrate both occasions together. Despite being younger than me, my brother has always been extra protective of me. He's my first best friend and our bond is unbreakable. No matter how many times we fight or disagree on things, in the end we always come to an agreement which I think is very important. I remember when we were young, we used to save each other from our mother whenever one of us made a mistake, and we still do that to this day. My brother is the best gift my parents have ever given me, and I couldn't be happier to call him my brother. Even after he’s just a year and a half younger to me, he calls me didi, I think that’s his way of showing love and respect and I adore that. I wish everyone a very happy Rakshabandhan!"

Krishna Kaul, who essays the role of Ranbir in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya said, “Rakshabandhan, for me, is a day that I dedicate to my sister. I’m lucky to have my elder sister in my life. Apart from her, I have my cousins and sisters as well. It’s a special day to celebrate the relationship and I feel that every year we grow closer, despite not meeting that often. My sister Kashish has been a constant support throughout my life, especially during my school and college days. She used to teach me and guide me, and even today, she is my go-to person for everything.  Like every year, this year as well, I plan to do something special for her. Happy Rakshabandhan to all the brothers and sisters.”

Ashi Singh, who essays the role of Sumeet in Zee TV’s Meet said, “Every year, me and my brother celebrate Rakshabandhan together and this year too, we plan the same. This day is really very special for both of us as I get to make demands and he has to fulfill them. My brother is a chef and I love to eat, so he always ensures to cook my favorite dish on Rakshabandhan. This year, I will be mostly shooting, so will tie him to the rakhi either before going there or after returning from the shoot. That’s how we will celebrate it this year.”

Arjun Bijlani, who essays the role of Shiv in Zee TV’s Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya ShivShakti said, "I have a brother Niranjan and a cousin sister Rohini, and trust me when I say this, I can do anything for them. They are my lifelines, I can’t imagine my life without them. Of course, just like other siblings, we have had our fair share of fights and disagreements in life, but that cannot overpower the love we have for each other. I am the eldest, so both of them are like my children. I am very protective of them. I remember, I used not let our parents scold them, whenever they made a mistake. So, I love it when they come to me for any advice or to share anything, I feel that I have done a decent job being an elder brother. We are going to get together this Rakshabandhan, and spend some quality time together. Happy Rakshabandhan to all the brothers and sisters.”

Shrenu Parikh, who essays the role of Maitree in Zee TV’s Maitree said,According to me Rakshabandhan is a day of family gatherings, delicious feasts, and joyful celebrations. It reflects the enduring bond between siblings, symbolizing the values of care, respect, and devotion. It's a heartwarming reminder of the unique and irreplaceable relationships that shape our lives. I am blessed to have a brother Shubham in my life, and he means the world to me. I remember when we both were kids, just like any other brother and sister we used to fight a lot, but it was like the world against us we always used to team up even if we fought, and till date we do fight but they’re disagreements and we know that we aren’t gonna leave each other’s side! He lives in USA, so our festivals are all situational. This year, I am planning to visit him and, on that day, we will celebrate this festival. But of course, I will send a ‘Rakhi’ to him, ‘so his kalaai isn’t sooni’ on that day! In fact, his friends find it so special when he wears it to work! On this special occasion, I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Rakshabandhan.”

Sambhabna Mohanty, who essays the role of Damini in Zee TV’s Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan said, “Rakshabandhan is the festival which is marked as the sister tying a decorative thread, called a "rakhi," around her brother's wrist as a symbol of love, protection, and lifelong commitment. But, since I am the only child, I celebrate this day with my cousins. They all are like my real brother and sister only, just that we live in different cities, it becomes difficult to reunite. However, I ensure I send Rakhi and gifts for them. They are just like my friends, and every time we meet, it’s like nothing has changed. This year, I am going to my hometown so I will be meeting some of them this time."
