On The World Photography Day, Celebs Share Their Most Precious Pic

Sometimes a photograph is worth a thousand words. Every photograph is unique, and every photograph has a story. On World Photography Day, which is celebrated today on August 19, celebs share their most precious photograph and also tell JYOTHI VENKATESH its true value. Read on:

SHASHANK VYAS

This pic is from my first photoshoot back in 2009. A coordinator told me then that I'll not go back to my hometown now, as I will get work soon. It was quite motivating for an aspiring actor and I circulated this pic to many production houses. This pic got me my first print ad, and though the money was less, I realised that people are accepting me. I mailed the same pic to Sphere Origins, the makers of 'Balika Vadhu', and a miracle happened in my life.

ANGAD HASIJA

I remember I couldn't do a photoshoot for a long time, and when I did this was the result. This pic is my favourite and is pure candid. It has an innocence to it and I love that about it.

SHARAD MALHOTRA

Early this year I have been to Romania’s capital Bucharest and came back with a bag full of memories. It was a solo trip and I have cherished the time spent in the country. Now with the Corona Pandemic, I don't even know when will I travel even in India.  I am missing travelling. Walking on the streets, making a stop at places you find interesting and clicking pics of world-renowned historical monuments is definitely a thing to do. This pic takes me back to pre corona era.

I like the candid look which the camera captured. The pic gives a positive vibe too. Pictures speak a thousand words!

 This pic is very special because it was not shot on a professional camera, I clicked it on my Sony Ericsson mobile just after New Year's party on January 1, 2014. I just did a little bit of editing on this and it turned out to be so beautiful. It was shot early morning at 6 a.m.

MEERA DEOSTHALE

 I think this is my most precious photo because it sums up my whole world. It has my beautiful mother, my younger brother, and me. It makes me feel that the world is still the same and it is as nurturing as it has always been.

This pic is very special for me. It's a childhood pic of me and my brother Himmanshoo. It's a reminder of all the good times we spent as kids. And it also makes me realise to never to let my inner child go away.

DHRUVEE HALDANKAR

 I clicked this very recently and it's my most favourite pic. My furry baby Aslaan and I were on the roof on a sunny day and we saw a rainbow. Its a cat moment memory I cherish.

RISHINA KANDHARI

 This pic is very precious. It is a candid photo of me and my daughter Tiara. We went for parasailing and she was terrified to ride the tandem, this was just before I was boosting her morale and pepping her up and teaching her to be fearless in life. There was a long pep talk before she flew in the air and when she landed she thanked me. I really love this picture and will always cherish it for the story behind it.

This is a very old pic. It's very special because this is my first ever pic after I came into the world, and also it's my first pic with my loving grandmother. Oh you can see the happiness on her face, how lovingly she is holding me as though she will never let me go.

This pic is very special for me. It shows confidence, and it's an expression of an empowered female. Overall I find this pic very attractive and classy. When I first saw this pic, I fell in love with myself. I love the background and the outfit, all of it came together so beautifully.

 I just love black and white pics. They are my absolute favourite, and I love this photograph the most. It has a very 90s charm to it and I love how my eyes look in this pic. It shows a confident woman and that's why I adore it the most.

URVASHI UPADHYAY SHARLE

 This pic is from my first birthday. I was a special prayer child, so my mother dressed me in typical Gujarati attire Chaniya-Choli. I lost my mother last year and have stopped celebrating my birthday now. This pic will always remind me of her love and warmth.

RAJIT DEV

 I enjoy clicking pics when I go on trips. Due to the lockdown, I started living with a friend who has cats. I was never attracted to cats, but in the last four months I’ve become so attached to the cats here. I love clicking pictures of them and I do it every morning. They are so beautiful and innocent. After seeing the pics I feel she is trying to say something to me and I can feel the love in her eyes. JLo and Janet are my new friends.

KHUSHBOO KAMAL

Every moment I spend with my niece and nephew, Lakshita and Daksh, is very special for me, and I try to click them as much as I can. They call me Maa and looking at their pics gives me a different joy and satisfaction.
