What is the response for your performance as the tough, detection- police-officer API Malini in the OTT crime-thriller “Kaun?-- Who did it?”  on flipkart .
The response has been amazing !  ‘Kaun ?--Who Did It’  is a unique gripping interactive slick murder-mystery crime-thriller OTT show with mind-boggling cases, that lets the viewers play ‘detective’ with four options given to them.  I am extremely grateful for the encouraging reviews I got ! Also people have been extremely kind... the messages and feedback has been much beyond what i actually expected!

All set for the (next) second season of ‘Kaun..’ --when is that expected to start?
Yes ! Am looking forward  to  the second season! Kaun? Who Did It? Which would continue to stream only on the ">flipkart app. In fact we have already started shooting for it. The crime-offences cases will get more complex and the back-story of our characters will also be explored and unraveled. ! So much super-exciting content is in store for the upcoming next season 2.  Which is expected to start streaming maybe in a couple of months.

Samvedna,what made you grab the police officer Malini’s de-glam lead role ?First of all I got to play a challenging role of a ‘cop’ in a unique crime-thriller show. My police officer API Malini Bidre’s character in ‘Kaun..’  is intelligent, smart, tough and also has a sense of humour. It’s just fabulous! Produced by Guneet Monga and Achin Jain of Sikhya with Umesh Bist as the show-runner ! What more can an actor ask for ?

What was the ‘prep’ for your arrestingly smart lady cop’s role ?

Our show runner Umesh-sir had given me a detailed brief . So most of it came from our discussion about the character. He had a clear idea about who Malini was, how her look should be... most of the work was already done. Since Sushant-sir’s character is a retired senior ex-police officer who has now turned cynical.. I wanted to play Malini as someone who is optimistic, sincere towards her work, craving to learn, does the right things and who believes that justice is served in the end.

Any interesting anecdote while shooting with senior co-actor Sushant Singh ?

 It has been a dream run to share the screen with charismatic Sushant-sir who plays the genius-detective-mentor Adi Bhagat ! He is a brilliant actor and I get to learn from him every day. One day I thanked him for being so supportive and helpful and he mentioned that he acted in a movie called ‘16 December’ ( released 2002) with Danny Dengzongpa. He was new to the film-industry then and Danny-sir had helped out all the young actors in the film ! So according to Sushant-sir, he was merely passing on the legacy of his seniors ! Off-screen, he calls me ‘saathi’.

In real-life,  do you believe in the concept of  celebrating romance on Valentine's Day ?

Love should always be celebrated ! So  if  Valentine's Day gives you an excuse to have fun and enjoy with your loved ones -- then why not!
