Ranveer Singh who is riding high on success currently with his recent super-hit feature, Padmaavat is in all praise for the super star Shah Rukh Khan. In a group interaction with the media post the success of the film, Ranveer admitted that he always wanted to play a negative character who's the most evil ever and he was delighted on getting to play the same in Bhansali's Khilji.
While Ranveer's performance has been hailed as the antagonist in the film, a lot of comparisons are also being made with Shah Rukh Khan, who played a couple of anti-hero parts early on in his career (read films like Darr, Baazigar, Anjaam etc). Ask him how he feels on being compared to SRK and he explains why it's unfair.
He says, "I have been acting in films for about seven and a half years and from my very first film people have been drawing comparisons with Shah Rukh Khan. I don't think there's any basis for it. He's a living legend! You can't even take my name in the same breath as him. He has achieved and contributed to Hindi cinema so much. He is a game-changer in so many ways. Like I always say, even if I achieve an iota of all that he already has, I will consider that to be a genuine achievement. That said, every actor is unique and every star's journey is unique. Everybody's life experiences and circumstances are different. With each person being so unique, I don't think it's fair to compare two artists."
Well, he is being modest here and maybe he is right as there's no one like the King!
