By Team Bollyy 29 Jan 2018 | Updated On 29 Jan 2018 08:25 IST in Latest Trending New Update Follow Us Share Swara Bhasker is known for her brilliant performance in Tanu weds Manu, Raanjhanaa and Prem Ratan dhan payo. Recently, she saw Sanjay Leela Bhansali's most controversial movie Padmaavat and she got really shocked with the movie's climax. According to her, the movie is glorifying Jauhar and Sati system and taking away the right of the woman to live. She expressed her thoughts writing a note in which she says that she felt reduced to Vagina. She initiated congratulating the director of Padmaavat, Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the release of film after facing so much of problems. Even after getting threatened by the people of Karni Sena, they managed to do so. The actress said that she stood by him when people were criticizing and hitting the movie for the name Padmaavati. She was not fighting in the battleground but she fought on her twitter timeline for the sake of the movie. She tried to convey the message of the director which he can't because of his Rs 185 crore were on the line. She said, that we are back to basics again and all the empowerment of women, all the equal rights of men and women, all the achievements and movements of women are so pointless now because she felt like a Vagina after watching this great masterpiece by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She added that women have the right to live despite of being raped, she have the the right to live even after the death of her husband. Women have the right to live. Period. The climax of the movie made her felt that it was wrong of her to choose life over death in that moment. It was wrong to have the desire to live. "The movie should not glorify such a heinous hate crime or any such thing like Jauhar" she said Lastly, She signed off the letter as "Swara Bhasker, Desirous of Life". Thank you for the grace with which you’ve both defended freedom of expression *and* demanded more responsible storytelling. https://t.co/v0ro6Ls0Zr— Rega Jha (@RegaJha) January 27, 2018 Funny that you think a ‘prostitute’ doesn’t have a right to feeling like a whole human being and not a vagina. These are basic, human standards that you should very well be aware of. Fairly sure you can try to have a smidge more nuance in your life, Suchitra. https://t.co/pxwrZ5VhA0— ✨ (@PedestrianPoet) January 28, 2018 I know you don’t act much anymore but have you FORGOTTEN WHAT ACTING MEANS. https://t.co/pxwrZ5VhA0— ✨ (@PedestrianPoet) January 28, 2018 @ReallySwara thank you for the BOMB article....
