Actor Anubhav Shrivastava whom we have seen in popular shows like Pavitra Rishta and Adaalat talks about his role Yashodhan in Altt Balaji’s popular series ‘Paurashpur 3’.

Sharing details about King Yashodhan he says, ”What made me do this project was the character sketch of the King and his journey from a young charming Prince to a mad King. The layers and change of emotions in the character are very interesting. His madness to run a kingdom and his personal self-interest to kill anyone who comes in his way is unique. These layers speak a lot about my character. For preparation, we had a look test and script narration by the director and his team. They told me this would be an interesting character to portray and showcase our talent. They were convinced that I would pull this character the way they thought. So, I followed my director’s vision and the result in front of us.”

Paurashpur: A Unique Brand with its Own Fanbase, Says Actor

The actor also feels the Paurashpur franchise has its own fan following and one should not compare it with any other series or film. There are times when it has been compared with ‘Baahubali’. On this, he says, ”Honestly you can’t compare the two. They are two different things. Baahubali was an elaborate set with huge costs and budget involved and it was shown on a larger-than-life canvas. That happens when you shoot a film. Here we had budget constraints with limited things. Despite constraints, we did a good show. Paurushpur is a different brand and it has its own audience and they like the spice it gives.”

Paurashpur: Actor Reflects on Royal Set Experience and Series' Message

The actor also shares how he feels about the royal and grand set of the series. He says, ”The makers made a grand King Darbar where the King resides and rules the kingdom. That particular scene and the throne I sat on was massive and the look was very appealing. It genuinely made me feel like a king and act like one. The audience will see the throne with a 3 eyed snake where I am sitting and it looks fabulous. The spice, drama, betrayal, and the story is a great mix. It continues with a lot of twists and turns in future episodes and you see the King’s madness unleash on screen as he starts to rule the way he wanted. The message conveyed in this series is to win something you have to lose something.”

Anubhav Praises Ekta Kapoor's Vision and Impact on Paurashpur

Anubhav who has worked with Ekta Kapoor in the past showers praises on the talented producer. He says, ”She has been a major force behind this show. In fact for all her tv shows, movies, and web shows. She makes it a point that whatever she produces is genuinely appreciated by her audience and that is what makes her one of the best and leading producers in current times. She has an eye for content and knows what works. Balaji shows have been a brand and in the process made so many careers and actors. The role they get to perform touches the heart and soul of the audience.”
