Based on college life and the thrill, comedy, and romance associated with it, there is much more to see in the story of this show. This story is based on Lucknow where some new kids in a college want to dominate while enjoying college life. Directed by Ritam Srivastava, this series stars Hina Khan, Abhinav Sharma, Aaron Arjun Kaul, Anushka Kaushik, Abhishek Bajaj, Faisal Malik, Adil Khan, and Sakshi Sagar Mhadolkar. Let us tell you that this series is streaming on Amazon Mini TV.

How special is this series according to you?

Hina- It is very special, the name of the series itself is so special, 'Namacool'. This name is such that everyone will relate to it because everyone is Namacool somewhere in their life and we all are Namacool.

Abhishek- I am very excited about this show because I am playing the character of a boy from UP. Earlier I was playing the character of a boy from Delhi or Punjab, this is the first time I am playing the character of a boy from UP whose name is Chakku Pandey. I am very happy to play this character. This show has been written by Shantanu who has written shows like 'Badhaai Ho', 'Sam Bahadur' and 'The Night Manager'. I am very happy to be a part of it. Its dialogues are also very good.

Hina- We are having a lot of fun shooting in Lucknow.

Anushka- When we were shooting, our working title was something else, and it was named 'Namacool' later. I think my character has been very different for me because I found it very interesting to move from wearing salwar suits to modern fancy clothes and get into it. My character is always in her best clothes, she lives her life to the fullest, and she feels she can make everyone dance on her fingers. I am not that kind of a person in real life at all, so when I got to play this character on screen, I enjoyed it.

From television to OTT, the audience has seen every versatile style of yours. What was the reason behind choosing this character?

Hina- The first reason is the very beautiful Urdu that I get to speak in the character of Rubiya. I think this is one of the reasons that I will get to speak a very good Urdu which I have not spoken while playing any of my characters to date. I speak a little bit of Urdu because I have read Urdu and I can write Urdu, I can also read Arabic. So I am a little good at Urdu. My character has her style of doing everything and whatever she does, she does it with politeness. The elegance of Rubiya is very attractive. I had played another such negative character, its style was such that despite knowing that the character is evil, you used to fall in love with that character. I want people to give the same love to this character as well because his language and manners are so good that even if he commits murder, people will still fall in love with him.

What would you like to say about this project?

Abhishek- Whenever I choose a new character, I choose it by seeing that it should be different from the previous one. I am very happy that I got a chance to play the character of Chakku Pandey because this is a character that is domineering. You will see him doing action but at the same time he is also vulnerable, he has a soft side too. He is in love and a boy who is in love is very courageous, because for love you have to lower all your guards, and you become submissive. And then when he comes to know that the girl he loves is cheating on him, he turns from rowdy to emotional. I like one dialogue of Minty in this series when she says, "Macho people mein toh emotions hote hi nahi hain." People also believe that well-built people do not have emotions. But it is not like that, they are the most vulnerable, and this macho nature works as a guard for them. I have grown very fond of the character.

Anushka- Whenever I read a script, I read it like a viewer. I see how exciting I find this story and how much fun I will have watching this story. I read about each character in the script. The best thing about this show is that all its characters are written very well. Each character has a clear mission and vision. The punishment for the characters is the same fun for the audience. There is mystery, thrill, murder, and much more.

College life is depicted in the series. How was your college life?

Hina- My college life was very good. I got a lot of attention in college and because of that attention, I started wearing makeup. I thought if I am getting some attention like this then I should get some more attention by wearing makeup. I have got people to make projects, and have got attendance taken, so college life has been very good.

Abhishek- My school life and college life were spent in friendship. I was in 11th when I came to know that girls liked my personality. I was very naughty, we had a lecturer in college who used to leave before class time. I made a bet with my friends that I would stop the lecturer in the class. The next day in the class, before the class ended, I started going back slowly with a scared face and went back and hid under the bench. Ma’am came and when she asked me what happened, I said in fear, “They are coming to kill me”. That day ma’am stayed in the class for 20 minutes and I won a bet with my friends and then we partied.

Anushka Kaushik

Anushka- I used to participate more in extra-curricular activities in school. I come from a small town Saharanpur in UP, so when I came to Delhi from UP and saw everything, it was a cultural shock for me. In Delhi, people were talking about big brands and big celebrities, and people were using branded things there which I found very expensive and it was a big cultural shock for me. Because of this, I became a very overconfident girl and my whole college life went like that. After that, I understood how important it is to separate some people from your life because the moment you remove those people from your life, from that time your journey begins.

There is a lot of talk about the sarees worn by your character in this show, what would you like to say about this?

Hina- I think Hina has a big hand in the entire outfit and look of Rubiya. I would like to give myself credit for this because I have worked very hard to show Rubiya in a certain way. There was a team discussion in this and every small thing has been taken care of regarding Rubiya's look. But many times I used to give suggestions for this from the front as well. I remember when we were testing its look, the team did not like me putting a rose in my hair for the character of Rubiya, but I said no, we will put a rose, and then after that, we also tried different roses for Rubiya. I feel happy when I think something about the look of a character and people like it. I have put a lot of effort into the look of Rubiya in her character.

What would you like to say to your fans?

Abhishek- It is a great show, we have made it with a lot of hard work and we have had a lot of fun while making it. You will find this show relatable, it has comedy, thrill, and glamour, so watch it with your friends, and you will all have a lot of fun.

Hina- The name of the show is 'Namacool' which has everything, it is streaming for free on Amazon Mini TV, so do watch it.

Anushka- The whole show is much more than the trailer, so do watch 'Namacool' for free on Amazon Mini TV
