Akanksha Puri on playing a wrestler in ‘Hasratein 2’: Akanksha Puri is once again turning heads this time with her striking new avatar as a wrestler in the upcoming show Hasratein 2. The actress, known for her elegant screen presence and glamorous roles, has surprised fans with a raw and powerful transformation that’s already drawing comparisons to Fatima Sana Shaikh’s iconic Dangal look. With braided hair, minimal makeup, and a rugged, muscular frame, Akanksha embodies strength and grit like never before.
Speaking about her role, Akanksha shared, “Playing a wrestler is not just physically demanding, but emotionally liberating. I relate with the fire and discipline of my character, she fights not just in the ring, but for her place in the world. That’s something I’ve done in real life too, in my own way. I started heavy weight training before the shoot to look bigger and more muscular for this role, and I’ve done my own stunts.I didn’t use a body double. It was important for me to be fully authentic in every frame.”
