In December 2023, Nivin Pauly announced that he was collaborating with director Akhil Sathyan for his second directorial venture. Sathyan's debut film, Pachuvum Athabutha Vilakkum (2023), was initially supposed to feature Nivin as the lead actor, but he was later replaced by Fahadh Faasil. Sathyan confirmed the project the following May. The official title, Sarvam Maya, was announced in July 2025. A poster with a theatrical release date was revealed on November 20, 2025. Principal photography took place in 2025. Filming wrapped by November 2025.
