The actor who portrays a major character in the Zee Theatre teleplay 'Tadbeer' says he enjoyed playing a complex character
With a narrative that explores the nuances between the realms of right and wrong, Zee Theatre's 'Tadbeer' delineates the futility of violence and vengeance. Directed by Saahil Saple, it also brings the authentic artistic essence of theatre into the living rooms of audiences.
Tadbeer Movie News:
Actor Siddharth Menon, who plays a pivotal character in 'Tadbeer,' says that it is the intense narrative of the teleplay that has forged a strong connection with the audience. “The characters in the story are so well-written and it is very relevant theme because it depicts how youth can be misled and brainwashed to adopt the wrong path,”adds Siddharth.
The narrative of ‘Tadbeer’ begins to unfold when a politician initiates a mission to eliminate an activist advocating for freedom and equality. Assigned to this task are a young foot-soldier Somu and an ex-army recruit Darshan. However, as the mission progresses, Darshan confronts a moral dilemma.
"I really enjoyed playing this complex character who is deviously manipulated and is initially oblivious to the consequences of his actions. The depiction of the entire dilemma is not presented in a negative light but rather in a thought-provoking and entertaining manner, which adds a unique quality to the narrative," says the actor.
He also commends the strong ensemble cast of the teleplay, including Raj Arjun and Manoj Kolhatkar. 'They are highly experienced actors, and it was truly fantastic to collaborate with them. Our characters were positioned on opposite sides of the spectrum, but despite the differences in our roles, we developed a close bond. Having such skilled actors in every scene adds pressure to perform at a higher level. However, it is advantageous because it motivates you to continually strive for improvement,” says Siddharth.
He adds that 'Tadbeer' was shot with such aesthetic finesse that some of his friends, upon watching the teleplay, contacted him to express their appreciation, thinking it was a new film. ''I clarified that it's not a film but a teleplay!" concludes the obviously thrilled actor.
You can watch the teleplay 'Tadbeer' on 20th December 2023 on Airtel Theatre, Dish TV Rangmanch Active and D2H Rangmanch Active.
