'Bad News' is based on the rare phenomenon of heteropaternal superfecundation. The story of the film revolves around Saloni Bagga (Tripti Dimri), who is pregnant with twins and the biological fathers of her children are Akhil Chaddha (Vicky Kaushal) and Gurbir Pannu (Amy Virk). The film stars Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, Amy Virk in lead roles.

Choosing his favorite name out of all the names, Vicky said, "For me, I think Bad News and I are not politically correct". Along with this, the actor told that as a team everyone came to the conclusion that the idea of ​​​​being a 'spiritual sequel' gave the film its charm. He said, "Also, because the concept of the film revolves around pregnancy and a humorous story around it, which was also a concept in Good News. So, I think it is a good continuation in its spirit. It is a complete entertaining film and can be watched with family, friends and lovers".
