If you have even the slightest of knowledge about Indian Television, you'd be familiar with Pehredaar Piya Ki. The show that lasted a little over a month before the channel was forced to channel pull the plug after it provoked outrage on social media for its controversial subject.

But it seems the makers of the show are in no mood of giving up. After an unsuccessful attempt, they are all set to shoot for the second season of Pehredaar Piya Ki. Yes, you read it right! According to a report in a leading daily, leading lady Tejasswi Prakash, shot for a promo yesterday. The show, although a sequel, is said to be a new venture. However, the idea and treatment of the show will remain the same. The makers are yet to finalize on a script and as of now, they have Tejasswi on board.

Tejasswi confirmed to TellyChakkar and said, “The story won’t continue further. I’m looking at it as a new picture. Honestly, I don’t know what would be the actual storyline. I have signed the soap on the basis of trust. I trusted the producers that they’ll take me in a new show and they did it.”

Talking about her controversial show, the leading lady cleared the air stating, “People were trying to create a lot of misunderstandings. I just want to clear one thing that, the show was not plugged off by the channel, it was a mutual decision. In fact, the channel was okay with us running in that late night slot but it was us who didn’t want to take it ahead.”
