Parikshit Sahni is an actor who is known for his awesome acting skills in Hindi cinema for a long time. He has done a lot of work not only in films but also for TV because of his excellent acting today everybody knows him not only in the country but also abroad. Talking about Parikshit Sahni's most famous TV serials, these include 'Barrister Vinod' and 'Gul Gulshan Gulfaam'.
On the other hand, if we talk about his most famous films, there are many films in this list but Rajkumar Hirani's three blockbuster films - 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai', '3 Idiots' and 'PK' come on top. Amidst so many achievements, the actor has now bagged the Life Time Achievement Award at the Rajasthan International Film Festival, which is a matter of great pride for an actor.
At the same time, Team Mayapuri also went to cover this big film festival and we talked to Parikshit ji, where he expressed how long he has been associated with Mayapuri and how deep his relationship with Mayapuri is. He also said that there is a difference between the TV industry and the film industry, but the people of both these industries should not disrespect each other.
You are currently in Rajasthan, so what do you like the most here?
I really like the culture, architecture, heritage and people of Rajasthan. I liked the people here very much.
What do you think is the biggest difference between acting on TV and in films?
Serials are for the small screen, for the TV screen, so there are more close-ups. On the big screen there are long shots. We under act on TV because there are close-ups, so under-acting has to be done.
There was a tough time for Bollywood but now everything is fine. 'Pathaan' is doing very well, which are the other films you think will do well at the box office?
I have stopped watching movies since last 2-3 years due to covid, I have seen very few movies so I can't tell which movie will do well and which won't.
Recently there is an actress (Radhika Madan) who used to work in TV earlier and now works in films, she said something about the TV industry which made it seem that she does not respect that industry. What is your opinion on this?
According to me this is absolutely wrong, every medium has its own language. No medium should say that the other medium is bad. It is true that cinema makes you bigger. The life of TV is less, that of films is more. People watch my father's films till date, but people have forgotten my serial 'Gul Gulshan Gulfaam'.
