He was 81. According to the reports, National award winner . Ratnakar Matkari had been feeling tired for the past few days and admitted to Godrej Hospital four days ago for a corona test. He was shifted to Seven Hills Hospital for treatment after his test report was positive. However, he sadly succumbed to his injuries at around 11.30 pm on Sunday.The writing journey, which began at the age of sixteen, continued unabated until the age of 81. Matkari was well-known for his movies like 'Bhai - Vyakti Ki Valli 2', Char Divas Premacha and the National Award-winning film Marathi film Investment based on his novel Investment Novella. Tushar Dalvi, Supriya Vinod, Sulbha Deshpande, Sanjay Mone, Sandeep Pathak, Bhagyashri Pane, Praharsh Naik, Soham Kolvankar and Milind Phatak starred in the film made in 2013 directed by him and produced by Mandar Vaidya and Pratibha Matkari .
