Poet Amrita Pritam inspired Isha Talwar for her web series Chamak to be aired on Sony liv

In her upcoming web series Chamak, Esha plays a musician from a small town in Punjab. The beautiful actress says that she has taken many references  from famous poet and writer Amrita Pritam to bring life to her character. As a part of the research, she also read a lot of writings of Amrita Pritam. Isha says that Amrita Pritam's simplicity helped her create the outer structure of her character in the web series.

The web series features Isha in the lead role of popular Punjabi pop star Jasmine Kaur, aka Jazz, and traces her journey from a small town in Punjab to international limelight.

Eisha says, “My character is that of a musician who goes on to become a huge international sensation. When I was creating the era of without glamor for my character or trying to understand my character's way of thinking, the first thought that came to my mind was writer and poetess Amrita Pritam. As I started reading about her and her writings, I found a lot of similarities between my character and poetess Amrita, because Amrita Pritam and my character believe in unconditional love and both talk about it and have the ability to talk very simply. Amrita Pritam's relevant writing, which talks about pure love, helped me understand the unconditional love that my character Jazz feels for the person she is madly in love with. Amrita Pritam's writing style is absolutely unique"

Esha will play the lead role in her upcoming web series **Chamak** which will premiere on SonyLiv in August. The story of this web series is based on the glitz and glamor of the music industry of Punjab and depicts the life journey of an artiste in the region and her complicated relationship with fame. She will also be seen playing the musical instrument, 'Dhol.' The series is directed by Rohit Jugraj Chauhan. Apart from this, she is also working on another web series titled Indian Police Force.

The web series 'Chamak' is an ode to today's vibrant Punjabi music industry and traces the journey of an artiste and her complicated relationship with fame. It will give a glimpse of the glamor and glitz that goes behind the making of a Punjabi music track.

The critically acclaimed actress Isha Talwar, known for her work in films like 'Mirzapur', 'Bangalore Days' and 'Article 15', is all set to make her debut in the streaming world with her new series 'Chamak' for which she is totally excited for.
