Pooja Bedi ecstatic as beti Alaya F wins Filmfare Debut Award

Not surprisingly, bold, bohemian vivacious model-actress-columnist Pooja Bedi seemed ecstatic over her exuberant daughter Alaya F recently winning the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Female Debutant for her riveting performance in the movie ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ Gushed the bohemian Mom Bedi, sharing exclusively with me - Chaitanya Padukone

“It's an indescribable feeling for a mother to see her child growing from strength to strength and to see her stand firmly on her own two feet with her head held high.

I'm proud of Alaya for always putting in her 100 per cent. I'm filled with happiness that her efforts have been recognized & rewarded and I'm grateful to the Universe for absolutely everything”.

Meanwhile Alaya who was presented her Filmfare trophy on stage by her veteran actor yet debonair looking dad Kabir Bedi seemed equally delighted as she shared.

“ I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am . Thank you for all the love that’s pouring in, I’m so overwhelmed and so grateful and soooo happy.

” she reacted In the past, Pooja ( who knows me personally) had reacted with , ' When Alaya lit up the screen, she lit up every atom in my being… my heart felt like it was exploding with love and pride.

My eyes filled with tears because I saw her years and years of grueling hard work finally come to fruition. She is beyond brilliant.

Even as 'positivity-personified' Alaya is being highly appreciated for her performance and now this well-deserved Filmfare Award in 'Jawaani Jaaneman', that too being pitted opposite such seasoned acclaimed co-stars Saif Ali Khan and Tabu, the 'grounded' debutante refuses to turn 'heady with overnight fame'.

While the initial 'F' actually stands for Alaya's surname Furniturewala, I personally feel that considering her dazzling screen-presence and natural role-play, 'F' also signifies ' Fresh, Flawless, Feisty, Famous and now Finest.

Interestingly, Alaya F's favourite actor is Ranveer Singh and one hopes she fulfils her dream of getting to play his 'lady-love' on-screen in the near-future.
