Poorva Gokhale Confesses That She Was Hesitant To Be Part Of Tujhse Hai Raabta Initially

Poorva Gokhale, who is part of the show Tujhse Hai Raabta, loves the title of the show. The actor says that it is apt for the story and, in fact, it was the title that convinced her to be part of the show. “The title is related to our show. The story is about a stepmother and a stepdaughter, their relationship and the unsaid love between them. I think it is a very apt title. I'm glad that they could think of an apt title for the show. When I heard the title, I was really excited because the title song itself was so amazing”. Anupriya is the name of the character and she plays the role of Kalyani's stepmom. She is a very warm kind of person who's husband has left her for another woman. So, she stays with her in-laws from the last 15-20 years. She is very soft-spoken, caring and a hard working lady. Her in-laws have kept her because they like her and also because they can get all the work done by her. She has a very helping nature and is down to earth, she has no idea about the world outside but after Kalyani enters her life, she actually starts going out of the house and doing things.”The actor has been getting a lot of compliments for the same. “There were a lot of people who auditioned for this role but when I gave it, they really liked it. I was a little skeptical whether I should do it or not but at the audition itself, they told me that if they see Anupriya in someone then it is only me. It is a lead character and not many people like me get to do it. Normally there are only love stories and the age required for that is very less. So, you get to play a mother or an important character but not the lead. This was a very good opportunity and already there were a lot of people waiting for it but everyone convinced me a lot. I am thrilled because I have been getting compliments for it,” she signs off.
