The ongoing week-long star-studded prestigious International Film Festival of India ( IFFI) 50th ‘Golden Jubilee’ edition, will conclude tomorrow evening ( Nov 28) with a Grand Finale in the presence of Union I & B Minister Prakash Javadekar, I & B Secy Amit Khare , hundreds of local and eminent foreign delegates and a galaxy of filmy celeb-guests . The VIP invitees list includes noted film-makers Ramesh Sippy, Rohit Shetty, Madhur Bhandarkar, Aanand L Rai, and star-actors Akshaye Khanna, Rakul Preet Singh, Nithya Menen and Ravi Kishan. Besides the coveted awards presentation in the various ‘IFFI-50’ Competitive sections, those being formally honoured for their ‘life-time’ contributions to Indian Cinema includes evergreen veteran Bollywood actor ( 84 years old) Prem Chopra, suave ‘Roja’ actor Arvind Swamy, agile Kathak-Guru-maestro Pt. Birju Maharaj, versatile super-genius music composer Ilaiyaraaja and brilliant Assamese film-maker Manju Borah. At the musical extravaganza, senior popular musical icons like Hariharan and Leslie Lewis will perform ‘live’, while talented Tanushree Shankar and her troupe will perform a variety of diverse Indian dance-forms. According to the dynamic IFFI director Chaitanya Prasad, the theme of the finale closing ceremony replete with fanfare, music and dance, would ‘Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat’ !
