PRIYANKA CHOPRA SORRY FOR QUANTICO HINDU PLOTLINE

After spreading her magic in Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra is a global icon now. She is a part of an  American TV series Quantico where she plays the character of an FBI agent named Alex Parrish. Priyanka plays the central character in the series.

In a recent episode of quantico, the show featured a terror plot involving Indian nationalists. The actress was seen thwarting a plot hatched by Hindus ahead of a summit on Kashmir. The plotline was not very much liked by the Indian fans which made them to attack her online.

Priyanka who find herself as a true and proud Indian tweeted expressing her sadness by writing, "I’m extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of Quantico. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologise. I'm a proud Indian and that will never change.

And not just that, In a statement, ABC apologised as well for stepping into "a complex political issue" and defended Priyanka Chopra from the attacks online. It was clarified by them that she has nothing to do with the plotline of the show nor does she have any input over writing, directing or casting the show.
