PRIYANKA CHOPRA TO COMPETE WITH DEEPIKA PADUKONE FOR "HIGHEST PAID ACTRESS" TITLE?

Priyanka Chopra wrapped up the third season of Quantico and is currently enjoying time in the United States. She will soon return to India to begin shooting for her Bollywood film, Bharat opposite Salman Khan, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

Priyanka is not just a global star, but also one of the highest paid actors in Bollywood. According to a report in Mid-day, Priyanka's team quoted Rs. 14 crores as her remuneration for the film Bharat. She is being paid Rs. 12 crores which is equal to Deepika Padukone's remuneration for Padmaavat. 

On BFFs with Vogue, Deepika admitted being paid more than the male co-stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh for Padmaavat. This made her the highest paid actress of Bollywood, however, with Priyanka Chopra demanding the same remuneration, it seems there is a fight going on between the two to be the highest paid actress of Bollywood.

Deepika and Priyanka have often been vocal about the need for pay parity as male superstars are offered much higher remuneration.
