Producer Anand Pandit Keen To Explore The Thriller Genre

Producer Anand Pandit who has had a super successful 2018 has been consistent in two departments - picking up the right content-driven project to back and consistently experimenting with different genres.

With distributing films like ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’, ‘Satyameva Jayate’, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ and the recently released ‘Baazaar’ and also producing various films, Anand Pandit has constantly explored various genres, be it romance, comedy, drama, action and crime.

As he gets ready for 2019, Anand Pandit wants to explore the thriller genre to add to his eclectic repertoire of films.

Says Anand Pandit, “A story can be told in so many myriad ways. As a viewer, I enjoy variety but what really makes the experience of watching a film is unpredictability. Of late the thriller genre has been appealing to me a lot. Thrillers generate curiosity among the audiences and that’s really interesting. So I would definitely want to explore this space. With some really good content being written for films, I feel that it is a good time for filmmakers and producers to explore different genres and stories.”

Anand Pandit has been looking at several scripts for his next project and intends to greenlight several projects in the coming months.
