The trailer launch of Salman Khan’s eagerly awaited next film Bharat directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by actor turned producer Atul Agnihotri was held with great fanfare topped with a sumptuous lunch at the Yashraj Studios where Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif , besides Disha Patani and Sunil Grover were very conspicuous by their absence. It was wonderful to meet Atul Agnihotri after a long gap of time at the venue where he told me that he was happy that he had to replace Priyanka Chopra who was the original heroine of the film with Katrina Kaif at the eleventh hour when Priyanka chose to walk out citing her marriage as the reason. Whatever happens happens because of destiny. I have no regrets and it has turned out to be one million times more better as a film as I am happy now that Katrina Kaif has played the heroine in the film opposite Salman sincee the chemistry between both the actors is more than palpable whereas there was hardly any chemistry between Salman Khan and Priyanka.

Ali Abbas Zafar, the director of Bharat states. “Bharat is a very special film not just for me but for all of us who are part of the team, especially Salman, as he relates more to the character than anyone else. The film showcases the warm relationship between a father and his child and we felt that Salman Khan was the ideal choice for the role as he is deeply connected to his father Salim Saab and his family. Only Salman Khan could have fitted the role and played the role of Bharat.

The film Bharat also stars Disha Patani and Sunil Grover, whom had shot to fame with The Kapil Sharma Show before he chose his infamous exit from the show after a split with Kapil Sharma.  Spanning across six decades, Bharat features Salman Khan is six different looks, the posters of which have already managed to create a stir among Salman’s fans. The trailer also offered an insight  into the exciting period film, which sets out to trace the exciting journey of a man and the nation from 6 to 60 over six decades.Apart from Salman and Katrina Kaif, who are known for their sizzling onscreen chemistry, the movie also stars Disha Patani, Tabu, Jackie Shroff and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles. The film marks the third collaboration of Ali Abbas Zafar, the director with Salman Khan, after hits like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
