Composer-singer Puneet Dixit enjoyed his stint as a judge in the Voice of Doctors. The event was about doctors who are also vocalists and are very fond of the art form. Puneet, who recently composed music for Vikram Bhatt's ‘1920 - Horrors of the Heart’, shares his experience.
“I have been working as a music director in Bollywood for many years. In my daily interactions with people related to my profession, I meet doctors, who share a unique passion for music. Despite their busy and stressful schedules, witnessing their determination to follow their passion truly inspires me. The grand music battle that has been ongoing for the past six months is now heading towards its Grand Finale,” he shares./bollyy/media/media_files/uploads/2023/07/Puneet-Dixit-on-Voice-of-Doctors.jpeg)
The auditions for Eternal Voice Of Doctors on the docsCME app have concluded. “The atmosphere is charged with excitement, and the competition has become more intense. Before the Grand Finale, all the finalists from our preliminary rounds will have to go through the pre-finale contest, where I, along with my fellow jury members, will evaluate their talents,” he says.
Taking this opportunity, he also makes a special and significant announcement. “The journey of music doesn't end with the Grand Finale. Responding to the demand of medical and dental students, Dr. Jeetendra Makkar, Dr. Saurabh Jain, and Dr. Gaurav have decided to organize Voice Of Medicos. The official announcement will be made during the Grand Finale scheduled for July 30. Just like the organizers have dedicated immense hard work and dedication to this event for the past six months, I have no doubt that Voice Of Medicos will also set new standards. So, stay prepared for this extraordinary competition filled with fun, music, and excitement,” he adds.
Puneet’s life is all about music. “Listening to the music of Alka Yagnik, Kumar Sanu, and Jatin Pandit has had a profound impact on me. I’m highly influenced by the music of the 90s. Of course, my idols are my grandfather and the legendary Shri Madan Mohan, but during my childhood, I used to listen to songs of Sanu da, Alka ji, Jatin-Lalit, Ustad Ahmed Hussain, and MD Hussain on CDs and the radio. It brings me great joy and pride that I am now sharing the stage with them, and whenever I get the chance, I'll incorporate their voices into my projects, keeping in mind the taste of the present generation. Given the opportunity, I would also love to compose a song for the music director Jatin Pandit Ji. Additionally, I'm fortunate to come across numerous talented doctors and artists who, if they fit my criteria, will have the opportunity to lend their voices to my projects. This global contest holds significant importance for me in many ways. Like how we respect them, doctors too have a profound love and respect for artists and their work,” he ends.
