Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi gets prison for two years!

Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi has been sent to jail by a court in Patiala. On July 14, Additional Sessions Judge HS Grewal rejected Daler's bail plea, while rejecting the appeal filed by Daler Mehndi, the court sentenced him to two years in prison.

Daler Mehndi and his brother Shamsher Singh were accused of working together to take people abroad illegally. According to reports, Daler Mehndi used to take people in his troupe for the shows he used to do abroad.

Under the guise of these troops, the work of taking people abroad was done. In return, both the brothers used to charge a hefty amount, such allegations have been made.

On these allegations, a case of human trafficking was registered against Daler Mehndi in the year 2003. According to the report published in 'The Tribune', this FIR was registered in the Sadar police station in 2003.

It was alleged that Mehndi and his brother had taken two troupes in 1998 and 1999 and during this time 10 people were taken to the USA in the name of a group member and they were left there illegally.

In the year 2018, the Judicial Magistrate First Class court found both the brothers guilty and sentenced them to two years in jail. After that both the brothers came out on their bail and filed a petition in the sessions court.
