First multiplex player to organise free vaccination drive for the film industry in Mumbai
Free vaccination to facilitate 5 lakh registered members of FWICE
PVR Ltd, the largest film exhibition company strengthened its vaccination drive with on-site camps for film workers registered with the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
Further to expand brand’s support towards the national vaccine drive, PVR organized free vaccination for film workers and their dependents in Mumbai in partnership with Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital.
With this initiative, PVR endeavors to vaccinate the artists, spot-boys, light-men, setting-workers, junior Artists, make-up artists, Stuntmen, background dancers etc.
The initiative falls under the overall gamut of the PVR Care program that covers enhanced safety measures and procedures for the Post Covid-19 World.
This ensures the health and well-being of customers, employees and other stakeholders of the film industry.
Being vaccinated is the top most priority and among the key PVR Care initiatives ensuring safety of people belonging to the film fraternity in its return towards normalization and revival.
The first vaccination camp was organized in PVR Cinemas, Dynamix Mall, Juhu, Mumbai on 19th and 20th July’21 and will be later extended depending upon the response.
The registration was open for walk-ins with on-the-spot registration and was free of cost. On-ground assistance for logistics, manpower support, queue management was provided by the PVR Operation Staff while the medical support included registration process of workers on the Co-win portal and their vaccination was organized by the Nanavati Max Super Speciality Staff.
PVR Ltd associated with Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital due to the latter’s vast experience in seamless vaccination drives at over 500 corporate giants and large residential complexes in and around Mumbai.
Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital is one of Mumbai’s largest vaccinator with over 4 lakh inoculations since May 1.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Ajay Bijli, Chairman and Managing Director, PVR Ltd, said,

Vaccination is the key for the industry to bounce back and the film fraternity at large. Expanding the drive with free vaccination to the daily wage workers of FWICE is a step in that direction.”
The vaccination drive will be carried out seamlessly in collaboration with the on-ground team thereby maintaining social distancing norms at PVR Cinemas, Dynamix Mall, Juhu and adhering to safety protocols like the use of masks and sanitizers. Given the success, PVR intends to hold similar vaccination camps for entertainment industry members, partners, and retail colleagues and this initiative will be expanded across cinema properties in the coming months.
