Parthiban whose Otha Cheruppu Size 7 figures as an sentry ion the ongoing IFFI in Goa is a Tamil film which he has not only written but also produced and directed besides acting as a one man performer in it. It is something like Sunil Dutt had made over six decades ago- Yaadein, Parthiban confesses.
Two films in which Parthiban had acted in Tamil have already been made as successful remakes in Hindi. His Tamil film Puthiya Pathai was remade as Benaam Badshah while his Tamil film Ulle Veliye was remain into Mr Azad. Ironically both the films starred Anil Kapoor in the lead.
Parthiban adds that though he looks at Rajanikant's cinematic journey as a great pone, he feels honestly that Rajanikant has been the same in each and every film in which he had acted till date except perhaps Mullum Malarum (Tamil) in which he had really acted.
Parthiban who had started as an assistant to filmmakers like Bhagyaraj, Selvaraj etc has acted in nearly 60 films in Tamil besides directing as many as 14 films in Tamil for the last 30 years.
