It is often difficult to accept the changes that our body and skin go through as we age. Probably, it affects more when one is a public figure, hence that leads to the use of filters on social media and even otherwise. Rahul Bhatia opines that the increasing use of filters by most, even by the youth, has made it difficult for us to accept our realities and flaws. The TV personality and social media influencer says that be it someone popular or people in general, most of us are very conscious about our look.

He explains with example, “If I talk about the actors there is only some like Rajnikant, who doesn't have any shame in showing his bald head and dark face and the wrinkles on his face. Rest all the actors actually take care of their skins, hair etc as they don’t want to show their wrinkles or grey hair. There are so many actors who go under the knife, get hair transplants done as they have to look perfect. Actors think that they have to be very inspirational so that people learn from them. That is the reason they use filters while clicking pictures for social media. Filters actually help them to look much better and in good shape.”

On how one can completely give up on doing such a thing, Rahul adds, “One has to be comfortable and happy in his or her own skin. So that is the only reason we can’t give up on using filters so easily.”
