The first book on the life of actor Raj Babbar “Raj Babbar: Dil Me Uttarta Fasana” was launched at Tansen Residency in Gwalior, where Raj Babbar was the chief guest. Raj Babbar openly expressed his feelings here. On the release of this book, Raj Babbar shared many memorable things about his film life in the discussion session among journalists and political leaders.

 Raj Babbar is different from the common film actors, wherever he is, he creates his own existence. He was, and is, a one-of-a-kind hero when he entered films (nowadays he has a web series “Happy Family” streaming on OTT Amazon Prime Video). When he entered politics, with a different attitude, he looked isolated from others. The book “Raj Babbar: Dil Me Uttarta Fasana” throws light on the multifaceted personality of Raj Babbar. When journalist Harish Pathak, handling the stage, urged Raj Babbar to narrate his film experiences, Raj simply shared the beginning of life – “I belong to a middle-class family. I have not tried anything new in my life. I didn’t. But everything became new. I came from a family where it was difficult to say that I wanted to be an actor. Being the eldest in the house, the responsibility of the whole house was on my shoulders. Four sisters and brothers were also younger. I used to think that I would lighten my father’s burden by doing a job. The 12th result was about to come. There was a railway vacancy. I lied that I would go to Patiala to study. I applied to the drama department there. The path I chose was a lot of struggle.

When I went to Mumbai for films, in those days we used to get a thousand for a film.” He says seriously. These were the early days of Raj Babbar’s life. The memoirs of his later days are in the book “Raj Babbar: Dil Me Uttarta Fasana”. The author-editor of the book is the well-known journalist Harish Pathak, who was once associated with ‘Dharmyug’ and has been associated with the editing of many newspapers.
