Rajat Barmecha reveals the Sachin Tendulkar connection in Kacchey Limbu and the secret behind his jersey number 24.

Kacchey Limbu is a heart sports drama, written and directed by Shubham Yogi, and features Rajat Barmecha along with Radhika Madan in lead roles. Rajat plays the role of Akash in the movie and he has one dream of becoming a cricketer but his father wants him to get a corporate job. There comes a time when everything depends on who wins the Gully Cricket tournament, he is more determined than ever. And here comes the interesting part, Rajat chose to have his jersey number as 24, which is also his birthday and, legend Sachin Tendulkar’s.

Talking about the same, Rajat said, “I am born on April 24th and shared my birthday with Sachin Tendulkar. This being a cricket film and 24 being my guiding number, I wanted my jersey number to be 24. With this, in some way, I could connect with the great Sachin Tendulkar while playing the role of batsman and it indeed was exhilarating.”

The movie has mostly garnered positive responses and in fact, also received a lot of praise at the film festivals it was screened at.
