“The best thing about the monsoon is the ‘chai and pakoda’. I love to go for long drives during monsoon. It’s like a stress buster for me,” she says
Shooting outdoors becomes an issue during this time. “That’s true, especially in Mumbai but one has to adjust with the demand of the job. I have my team and they really take good care of me. They give me tea and hot soups every now and then. So this is how I manage shooting during this time,” she adds.
While it’s fun to enjoy it raining outside from the comfort of your home, in case one is stepping out one needs to be prepared and must take care of their hair and skin. In general, during this season, these things require special care.
“During monsoons, I avoid eating outside and prefer having homemade food as much as possible. Also, I include a lot of hot drinks in my diet. Because of the rain, we cannot go out for walks so I divide my exercise into gym and dance classes. As far as my skincare is considered, I keep myself hydrated and my skin moisturised all throughout the day,” she says.
Sharing her special childhood memories during monsoon, Sanchita adds, “As a child, I was very Bindas and carefree and loved dancing in the rains.” So what’s your favourite monsoon song? “My favourite monsoon song is ‘Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si’. I don’t know why but every time I listen to this tune, I automatically start grooving to it,” she says.
