Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan have been in news for while now. While earlier it was their stories of an alleged link-up that were making the headlines, now it is their pictures of the duo bonding over a smoke outside a hotel in New York that have been taking the internet by storm.
It did not take too long for the pictures to turn into an internet troll for the Raees actress Mahira Khan. Along with Mahira's fans, many Bollywood actors like Ali Zafar, Parineeti Chopra, Varun Dhawan and Taapsee Pannu extended their support to the actress. Now, finally, Ranbir Kapoor has also broken his silence on his so-called-controversial pictures with Mahira.
Ranbir Kapoor gave a statement to a leading daily and said, "I've gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few months. She is somebody who I admire and respect, for her achievements and even more for the person she is. It is very unfair the way she is being judged and spoken about. What is also said is the inequality in judgment just because she is a woman. I request you to stop the negativity and move on with your beautiful god gifted lives. Peace and Love."
He signed off by saying, "PS: Both smoking and hate are injurious to health."
Well said, Ranbir!
