RANI MUKERJI PROMOTES HICHKI IN AHEMDABAD

The upcoming film Hichki will be a comeback for Rani Mukerji after her last 2014 release Mardaani. In the film, she will be seen playing the role of a teacher suffering from Tourette syndrome. The makers of Hichki left no stone unturned to promote their film. So, Rani Mukerji has finally started the promotions of Hichki from Ahmedabad on a week of the auspicious festival Makar Sankranti. Following the rituals of the festival, the actress went to the Sabarmati Riverfront to experience kite flying and also flew the beautifully designed, bright kites. She also interacted with several locals across the city who came to witness & celebrate the colourful festival.

A leading daily quoted a source saying, "Rani wants to start her promotions for Hichki on Makar Sankranti, which is a holy day. The festival is dedicated to the Sun God, and it marks the beginning of a six-month long auspicious period known as Uttarayana. It is a day to pray and express thanks for success and prosperity. It couldn’t have been a better day to start the promotions."

Source added, "There is a slew of activities that have been planned. The team wants to drive home the message of the film right from the start. Ahmedabad is the first city that Rani is visiting. She will visit eight more cities to promote Hichki."

The film is directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and it's all about turning disadvantages into opportunities and staring down at challenges and ultimately winning over them. Produced by Maneesh Sharma, the film is set to release on February 23.
