Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., popularly known as Nelly was arrested on Saturday in Washington when a woman accused the rapper of rape over a call made to 911. The police arrested Nelly in the wee hours of the morning and took him to a jail in Des Moines, Washington.
Nelly had performed at the White River Amphi theatre in King County just hours before the phone call was made. According to his lawyer, Scott Rosenblum, the singer and song-writer was released a few hours later without charges being filed.
