On the occasion of International Day of Sign Languages, actor Rasika Dugal remembers the time she learned sign language for Tu Hai Mera Sunday. The versatile actor, who is known to spare no effort to get into the skin of her character didn't make an exception for Milind Dhaimade's directorial. In the feel-good dramedy, Dugal essays the role of Tasneem, a mother to two hearing-impaired children. The actor learned sign language for this role and garnered appreciation for it.

Apart from her acting prowess, her impactful performance can be attributed to the sign language lessons she enrolled in as part of her prep. As she reminisces signing to her reel children in Tu Hai Mera Sunday, Rasika said " Sign language is a language like any other. My co-actors who played my children in the film are hearing impaired and I felt I needed to learn the language they used so I could communicate with them even if the role didn't necessarily ask that of me”

The story of Tu Hai Mera Sunday revolves around a group of five friends in the city of Mumbai and what follows when their Sunday soccer game on the beach is canceled. On the work front, Rasika awaits the streaming of Mira Nair's adaptation of A Suitable Boy, Mirzapur Season 2, Delhi Crime Season 2 and Out Of Love Season 2.
