REKHA KE ADHURE SAPNO MEIN SALLU BHAI SHAAMIL... By Ali Peter John

Only this morning I heard one of the many young female admirers of Rekha saying ,. "Aap duniya ka woh ajooba hai jise hum ek baar zaroor dekhte hai aur phir baar baar dekhne ki tamanna hoti hai aur baar baar dekhne ke baad ek baar aur dekhne ki tamanna hoti hai " -  Ali Peter John

That pretty woman from Punjab is not the only one who goes ga ga over Rekha even now when she is nearing seventy and looks younger than the actresses of today and who is still lively , creative , sensitive and as talented or more talented than she was when she was twenty five or even forty five.

One look at her makes one believe that she is a rare creation of God who walks this earth once in a way .

During the last fifty years, Rekha has been seen in more colours than the colours of the rainbow , the chameleon or any creature or creation that spreads it's colours in such a way that it is difficult to know how to describe it .

Rekha has fulfilled most of her dreams and desires ( except one which she has been longing to fulfill and now will not be able to fulfill because of time which has come in the way of some of the greatest dreamers )

But Rekha has one secret dream and she has not spoken much about it ..... In my longest ever talk with Rekha in Udaipur where she was shooting for K. C Bokadia's "Phool Bane Angaarey " soon after the suicidal death of her husband Mukesh Agarwal , she talked about her dream to direct a film after she had finished playing all the roles she wanted to play .

Without my asking her , she had said that if she ever become a director , she would like to be a complete director like Raj Kapoor who was her ideal director , but unfortunately had no opportunity to work under his direction , though she had worked in "Dharam Karam'" with him in a key role .

When I casually asked her which young actor she would like to direct , she had instantly said , Salman Khan in which I saw the makings of a very good actor when he did his first ever film with me , I think it was called ,"Biwi Ho To Aisi ".

I don't know if my dream to direct a film will ever come true , but if at all it comes true , I would certainly like to mould a volcano of talent that I see in the young Salu , who I know will go very far as an actor " .

And at another time , she told one of my seniors that she would love to direct both Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in a film provided she had the right script .

Years have passed since Rekha saw those dreams and nothing concrete has developed on that front as Rekha is growing more and more busy in growing younger and more stunning than all the young actresses who are as old as her daughters ( if she had them ) and who cannot even stand by her side and shine .

REKHA KI AISE TOH HAZAARO KHWAAISHE HAI , LEKIN KHUDAH JO REKHA KO BEHAD PYAR KARTE HAI KYA PARESHAANI HAI AGAR WOH USKI DIGDARSHAK BANNEKI KHWAAISH PURI KARE AUR SALMAN KO USKI FILM KA HERO BANAAYE ?
