Remembering Suraiya on his birth anniversary

SURAIYA Actress & Singer of Hindi Cinema was born today on 15th June 1929 in Karachi 🌹She was the Most celebrated actress between mid-to-late 1940s before she was surpassed in fame by Madhubala & Nargis.She acted in 60 movies & sang 300 songs in her career e.g:Tu Mera Chand,Tere Nainon Ne Chori Kiya, Beech Bhanwar Mein 🎶 Suraiya made her debut as a child artist with film Madame Fashion in 1936.In 1954,her film Mirza Ghalib was awarded President’s Gold Medal for Best Feature Film & National Film Award  with then PM Nehru, remarking at ceremony that she had brought Mirza Ghalib to Life & her Ghazal Dil-E-Nadan Tujhe Hua Kya hai was Super Hit 🎶 Suraiya was awarded Screen Lifetime Achievement Award. She missed marrying Evergreen Hero Dev Anand otherwise Bombay Cinema History would have been Diff.
